We had a good night's
sleep with family in
Lat Krabang.
We get up early and drink coffee and eat something.
Today we're going to look again for new slippers for Tom.
But now we're going to Fashion Island along
Thanon Ramintra.
We let one of the nieces call a taxi and it arrives after nine minutes for a ride of almost
half an hour.
The driver doesn't like to drive that fast.
He does drop us off right in front of the door so we hardly have to walk in the heat.
The first store we go to look at slippers, and especially the brand Sketchers, is at Central. We find slippers there, but not what we are looking for; perhaps the sports department has a bigger selection. But we don't find what we are looking for there either. There is a Sketchers store in the shopping mall, and we go looking.
The store is found quite quickly, and this store is much bigger than the store in
Seacon where we looked yesterday.
They don't have what we're actually looking for there either, but they do have slippers that
come pretty close.
Pia is also looking for shoes for her work in the Netherlands, and Pia also finds shoes to
her liking there.
And then Tom also needs walking shoes, and we succeed again.
With three pairs of shoes and a very large carrier bag richer and quite a bit of money
poorer, we leave the store satisfied.
The next thing to buy is another collection, a year's supply, pills for a friend in the
Netherlands, and those are quickly found.
A colleague of Pia would like to have a pendant with a jade stone, and we can't find that
now, lots of gold, and pendants for Buddha statues, but nothing with jade.
In the meantime we are hungry and we eat something at a restaurant where almost everything
is made of fish or with fish.
After dinner we search for hangers for a while but we still find nothing.
We take a taxi back home.
In between, Pia has also arranged to have dinner with her family at her cousin Ann's house
next Saturday.
Not in a restaurant because we can stay longer at family's house.

We tell what we have done and experienced during a trip and we also tell what we think about it; no more and no less.
This is not a travel guide, nor is it advice to visit a place or not.
There are other sites for that.
Our opinion about places where we have eaten, drunk or slept is not intended as a (positive or negative) assessment,
there are other sites for that.
It is our view of the situation at a certain moment and that view is influenced by our mood,
the weather and many other factors.
